Kall8 Follow Me Toll Free Features
Call Recording
Kall8 has developed a Call Recording feature that fully integrates with all of the current Kall8 features. With Call Recording
you can record all of your calls all of the time or you can turn this feature on and off. If you have more than one toll free number,
you can turn on recording on some of your numbers and leave it off on others. The choice is yours and you have total control, as you
do with the other features of Kall8.
When it is time to listen to the calls you have recorded, simply go to the special website where the calls reside,
log into your personal, secure website and choose which calls you would like to listen to. Calls can be sorted according
to specific criteria that you choose, including:
- All calls.
- Calls that occurred during a specific time period.
- Calls that lasted under or over a certain length of time.
- Calls that originated from a certain caller ID or area code.
Recorded calls are available on the website for retrieval for 30 days. If you would like to archive (save for over 30 days) all
or some of the calls, they can be kept indefinitely. You decide yourself the criteria for archiving them. For instance, you can
archive all calls, all calls that haven't been deleted, all calls that are from a certain caller ID, etc.
Kall8 Call Recording is useful in helping increase customer satisfaction, improving call handling skills and training
customer service and telephone sales personnel, by using actual recordings of real telephone conversations. It also can be
used to verify orders, validate the acceptance of credit cards and other charges by phone and quickly resolve disputes regarding
telephone orders.
In addition to the standard charges for Kall8, Call Recording has a $60 installation fee and a monthly fee of $60 for up to 3,000
messages. Each additional block of 3,000 messages is an extra $60 per month. This includes keeping all recorded calls for 30 days
from the time the call is received.
If you would like to archive any calls, the charge is $50 per month up to 3,000 messages and an additional $5 per month for
each block of messages over 3,000. A block of archived messages consists of 1,000 recorded calls.
There is no need to sign up separately for Call Recording. If you turn on this feature (there is a button on the Main Menu
of the customer website to get into this file), you will be charged for that month. If it is turned off the next month, you will
not be charged. The installation fee is a one-time charge, so after the first time you turn on the feature, it will not be charged
again, even if you turn Recording on and off every day.
Routing to Closest Location
If you have a multiple locations business, you can now automatically route your toll free number to
the location closest to the caller. This would be useful for car dealerships, real estate agents or dry
cleaners, to name a few examples.
To route your calls to the closest location, you need to first define locations on the Website.
If you do not already have locations defined, you will be prompted to add them when you enter the new
Route to Closest Location section that has been added to the Main Menu under Routing. Once locations have
been defined, simply turn the feature on. Calls are then routed to the nearest (in miles) location based on a
combination of the area code and prefix (first 6 digits) of the caller's phone number. This can be used for all
US and Canadian locations.
Calculations based on phone number are not always exact, since some area code - prefix combinations can
cover a large area, and some numbers are ported (moved) outside the standard area.
Lead Generation
One of the most exciting features that we've developed is the ability to capture caller ID on all of the
calls coming into our toll free numbers. We get the name and phone number of each caller and post it on the
website with the call detail for that account. This allows the customer to create/expand a list of contacts
for their sales people to call. It's a marvelous marketing/sales tool at no extra cost to the customer.
Custom Routing/Locator Service
Geographic Routing
If you have multiple business locations or provide sales or service through geographically dispersed dealers,
agents or resellers, Kall8 custom routing is for you. Whether the locations are car lots, offices, call centers,
warehouses, or retail stores, Kall8 can route your callers to the location nearest to them. If you want your sales
people to be on the sales floor rather than answering phones, Kall8 can play a message that gives the caller the
address of your closest place of business. You set the criteria; it is implemented through Kall8.
The easiest and most popular way to route calls is by telephone number. You give us a list of the telephone
numbers for each of your locations and we will deliver each call to the one that is closest to the caller. If your
locations are very close together, you can give us further criteria from which to choose.
We can also route calls based upon a map with all your locations noted and the corresponding calling areas
highlighted. In this way, if, for example, you want all locations in Manhattan to be serviced by your Manhattan
office even though your Brooklyn office might be closer to a caller, we will see it on your map and program it
that way.
Similarly, if your business is localized to one area, your toll free number can be blocked from receiving
calls outside your defined area. This will save you money on your toll free calls and free up your sales
people to take the calls that will make you money. Plus, even if we block calls for you, we can still provide
you with reports on where these blocked calls originated to help in your expansion plans.
Time of Day Routing
Another way to route calls would be by time of day. This would be most beneficial if you have locations
across different time zones. For instance, call centers would be able to take advantage of this service.
You could have all calls on the East coast forwarded to your centers in the mid-West and West after 5pm EDT or
you could have calls go to voice mail after 9pm local time or set it up with any configuration that best suits
your needs.
Call Distribution
If your calls are answered by several different locations or you have multiple numbers going to dispersed
locations, you can ask to have call distribution:
We will distribute your calls equally to all your numbers. We can either do it in rotation, i.e. the first call
to the first number, the second call to the second number, etc., or we can distribute them by length of time the
number has been off hook.
Online Routing
For smaller users, the following geographic routing is available on a self provisioning basis online.
1. Calls from selected states can be a) blocked, b) routed to a specified phone number, c) sent to voice mail.
2. Calls can be routed based on the calling party's area code, i.e. specific area codes can be blocked, routed
to specified phone numbers or sent to voice mail.
3. Calls can be routed based on the calling party's area code and exchange (the first 6 digits of their phone number).
They can also be blocked, routed to specified phone numbers or sent to voice mail.
4. Calls can be routed based on the full 10 digits of the calling party's phone number. They, too, can be
blocked, routed to specified phone numbers or sent to voice mail.
Customized Answering
Rather than routing your calls to different locations or numbers, Kall8 offers large customers the option of
having your calls answered automatically with a custom announcement specified by you. This announcement can,
for instance, give the phone number of the location nearest to them, along with the business hours of that
location. We can collect for you the name, phone number and address of each of these callers for your use in
follow up or for demographic analysis.
Pay-phone call block
You now have the option of blocking your Kall8 number(s) from receiving calls from payphones.
This will not only cut down on the possible wrong numbers for which you would have to pay, but it will also save
you the unnecessary pay-phone surcharge cost.
