| Q: |
Are there any set up fees or minimums? |
back to questions |

It depends on the type of Kall8 service you choose. For Standard Toll Free numbers, there is installation, and a monthly fee, plus the 6.9¢/minute
usage fee to US destinations. For Preferred Vanity numbers, there is a installation charge, a /month charge plus the 6.9¢/minute usage fee (US Destinations). For Exotic Vanity numbers, there is
a installation fee and /month charge plus 6.9¢/minute usage fee (US destinations). All installation and monthly charges are non-refundable. For numbers obtained through our unique search of the

| Q: |
Are there any other charges I should know about? |
back to questions |
|
The only other charge you might incur would be a charge for a declined credit card. In other words, if we try to charge your credit card for your monthly
invoice amount and the authorization center declines the charge, we charge you a fee. And of course normal federal state and local taxes and regulatory fees apply.
There is also a 50¢ per call charge for calls originating from a payphone. |
|
| Q: |
How am I billed? |
back to questions |
|
Kall8 provides on-line billing. All calls are billed in one-minute increments. Upon sign up, your credit card will be charged the installation fee plus
the full monthly fee. After the first billing cycle, your card will be charged a prorated monthly fee for that part of your first month as an active account. Thereafter it will be charged monthly for
usage, the next month's fee and any applicable taxes and government regulatory fees. |
|
| Q: |
How and when will I see the details of my charges? |
back to questions |
|
Your call detail, which includes the phone numbers of your callers to each of your toll free numbers plus the number of minutes per call, is available at
any time for you to view on your secure account web page. Monthly fees and applicable taxes and regulatory fees are posted monthly, as are payments. |
|
| Q: |
How long does it take to set up a Toll Free Number? |
back to questions |
|
You should normally be able to use the service immediately after completing the
online
application. If offline registration is required it will be set up as soon as a copy of the registration is received by
email or fax. If you choose a number through the national SMS database it will take up to 48 hours to turn up in your account. |
|
| Q: |
Can I change the number to which my Toll Free number rings? |
back to questions |
|
Yes, you can change the ring-to number to any U.S. or Canadian number in real time online by accessing your account on the secure Kall8 client web site.
International ring-to numbers take up to 48 hours to change. |

| Q: |
Is there any difference between 800, 888, 877, or 866 toll free numbers? |
back to questions |
|
There is no difference between 800, 888, 877, or 866 toll free numbers. |
|
| Q: |
Can I have more than one toll free 800 number ring-to the same number? |
back to questions |
|
Yes, provided they are all on the same account. This is an excellent way of tracking advertising i.e. by using a unique 800 number in each publication.
Your call detail records group the calls by number dialed and lists them in chronological order. |
|
| Q: |
Can I have my Kall8 toll free 800 number ring to another toll free 800
number? |
back to questions |
|
No. You cannot have your Kall8 toll free 800 number ring to a toll free 800 number. |
|
| Q: |
Am I charged for wrong number calls? |
back to questions |
|
Yes. Choose an 866 or Vanity Number to reduce this occurrence. 866 numbers are newer than 800 numbers and likely have been used by fewer owners which may
decrease wrong number calls. Vanity Numbers that spell something ensure your callers wish to call you, and not someone else. |
|
| Q: |
I receive a large number of wrong number calls. What can be done. |
back to questions |
|
Wrong number calls are caused either by people misdialing, for which there is no solution, or calling a number that was formerly used by another person or
company. There are three possible solutions for the second type of wrong number calls.
- Replace your 800 number with a toll free number that begins with one of the less familiar area codes of 888, 877 or 866. Most 800 numbers have been around for a very
long time and have changed 'ownership' a number of times. Therefore, the highest incidence of wrong number calls is to 800 numbers.
- Block calls from all areas outside of your designated calling region. If you only want calls from a certain geographic area, you can have your number active only in
that area, thus reducing misdialing or mistaken dialing from people outside the area. As an example, we have a customer whose toll free number is one digit off from the Canadian IRS toll free number.
He was constantly getting wrong number calls, for which he had to pay, on his toll free line. The solution was for us to simply block his number from accepting calls from Canada.
- Get a vanity number that spells something unique to you, such as your name or your business name. The potential for people calling such a number by mistake is very
low.

| Q: |
What is dedicated service? How do I know if it's right for me? |
back to questions |
|
A significant portion of the 6.9¢ we charge for every minute on an inbound 800 call is an expense we have to pay to your local phone company to
deliver the call to you. If you are a large volume customer, you can connect directly to our switch with a private line that will allow you to bypass the local carrier, thus making the call much less
expensive to complete and much of the savings can be passed on to you in the form of a lower rate. If your toll free bill is over $5,000 a month, this solution could be right for you. |
|
| Q: |
Why does it take several days to implement a new number from the national database when it
can be activated immediately if I choose one from your website? |
back to questions |
|
Those numbers listed on our website, as well as the numbers you might find in our internal database search, are already active and in our switch. The only
thing that needs to be done is to route them to your selected phone number. The numbers you find through a national database search must be reserved and activated in our switch before we can arrange
to have the number routed to us by every local phone company in North America. Once all that is done, we can forward it to you. This takes a little time. |
|
| Q: |
Can I cancel Toll-Free service at anytime? |
back to questions |
|
Yes, with Kall8 there are no complicated long-term contracts. You can end your Toll-Free
service at anytime. (If you cancel your service in less than a year to move it to another carrier i.e. take your Kall8 toll free number with you, there is a $50 fee.) |
|
| Q: |
I’ve heard about VRU services and thought I would like to use them with a toll free
number. Can I do that with Kall8? |
back to questions |
|
VRU, or Voice Response Unit, is the technical name for the menus you encounter on so many business lines these days. They shorten the amount of phone time you need to
have with your customers because they screen the calls before the caller speaks to an actual person, therefore directing them to the appropriate person the first time.
Yes, you can use them with Kall8. In this case, Kall8 would actually answer the calls on your behalf, play a voice prompt to your callers, who can then either press
keys to answer the questions or speak answers and record a response. Based on this, the calls will be processed per your instructions, as they can be routed to one of several places. Also, a variety
of additional prompts can be played so data can be gathered from your customers. A specialist can work out with you exactly what you want and, in general, the only additional charge to you would be
the cost of installation. This will be approximately $1,000 to $5,000. No equipment is required on your premises. |
|
| Q: |
The number I want is not available in either of your databases. Where do I go
now? |
back to questions |
|
It is possible the number you want is already taken, in which case it will not be available in the national database. But it is also possible that it is only taken in
part of the country. Unfortunately, this will also preclude it from being available in the national database. Or, someone may have reserved it and not yet used it.
We can find out who ‘owns’ a specific number and contact them on your behalf. We can attempt to negotiate the release of the number so you can use it in the
area that is of interest to you. You can remain anonymous throughout the process and the value of the number to you will remain unknown. Normally, we should be able to obtain this number at a lower
cost than you might be able to because the level of interest would be unknown. This process would require an up-front, non-refundable retainer fee because it is time consuming and the success of the
outcome cannot be guaranteed. If we are successful in obtaining the number you desire, there will be an additional fee for securing it. This is in addition to any fees paid to the holder of the
number.
